Carefree and sustainable - we are convinced that driving can be both, and should be both. For this reason, we offset the entire CO2 emissions of our fleet based on the average vehicle consumption. For every kilogram of CO2 emitted, FINN funds certified climate protection projects with over 500,000 euros annually in cooperation with South Pole, a renowned organization for environmental protection measures.
When fuel is burned, CO2 emissions are generated - always the same amount per liter of fuel. ClimatePartner calculates the CO2 emissions of the FINN fleet based on the average consumption of all vehicles in active use. Since the amount of CO2 emissions of gasoline and diesel engines is different, the FINN fleet consumption is calculated according to the type of fuel. The number of active plug-in hybrids (PHEV) at FINN is also taken into account in the calculation. In addition, when calculating consumption, emissions are also indirectly taken into account, such as those caused by the production and distribution of fuels. This also applies to all fully electric cars in our fleet.

Climate protection starts right in our neighborhood. That is why we are committed to the Bergwald project in Oberallgäu. Volunteers have been planting native tree species such as silver fir and sycamore maple there since 1991, thereby contributing to the preservation of biodiversity and species diversity in our forests. At the same time, you will also be supporting specialists who also do valuable educational work on the mountain forest ecosystem.
We support the construction of run-of-river power plants in the Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The energy generated gives many residents of the region their first access to electricity and creates the prerequisites for economic development. The aim is to counteract the illegal exploitation of natural resources and wood in order to protect forests and native animal species.
We are driven by the power of forests. They are instrumental to addressing two of the most pressing issues of the day: slowing climate change and advancing social equity. Forests also provide habitat for wildlife and a clean, abundant supply of water for people. We support American Forests, the oldest nonprofit organization in the U.S., which advances their mission through forestry innovation to plant and restore forests in the United States.
